CRYSTALLUM MIXED SIX
We've got very few mixed cases of the prized Crystallum 2020 to offer.
Crystallum is a family run winery working exclusively with the Burgundian varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in and around the Hemel-en-aarde area near the coastal town of Hermanus. Hand picked, all natural ferments and no tinkering in the cellar. The wines are fresh, elegant and pure.
Winemaker Peter-Allan Finlayson is unofficially known as the Prince of Pinot (by us), his father being the pioneer in the region and still involved at Bouchard Finlayson. Peter-Allan has now established himself as one of the country's top winemakers and was recently named winemaker of the year by Tim Atkin in his 2021 Report, with all four single vineyard Crystallum wines scoring 95 points or more.
The 2020 vintage has made headlines with the Bona Fide back after a year hiatus, becoming the highest rated Pinot ever on Winemag. Meanwhile the maiden bottling of the Ferrum chardonnay is made with fruit from Crystallum's own land at Shaw's Mountain.
The Cuvée Cinéma pinot and the Clay Shales chardonnay are routinely featured in top fives all over the rating landscape while the multiple vineyard Peter Max and Agnes wines continue to offer incredible consistency and quality. The Agnes is especially good this year.
We chose a pic of Fin holding a large fish because that's how you'll feel when you get your box.
In this mixed case you'll find 2020 vintages of the following wines:
1 x Bona Fide Pinot Noir
1 x Cuvée Cinéma Pinot Noir
1 x Clay Shales Chardonnay
1 x Ferrum Chardonnay
1 x Peter Max Pinor Noir
1 x The Agnes Chardonnay
